Before the 2008 Summer Olympics, before Beijing, there was...Omaha.

The US Olympic Swim Trials were held at Qwest Center that summer with all eyes on the swim team that would go on to make medal history. Our client, USA Swimming, challenged us to create the red carpet treatment for the fans, athletes and sponsors such as Speedo, the Omaha Sports Commission, and other stakeholders. With little more than a seed of an idea — and 100,000 square feet to fill — we designed the Aqua Zone identity with comprehensive art direction, fabrication and installation for whatever our client threw our away - including Speedo's faster-than-skin LZR Racer Olympic team swimsuit exhibit (surely now the most famous swimsuit on the planet). A little known Omaha fact: Attendance at the trials broke records for the largest swimming meet ever held in the U.S. Just another Olympic moment for the record books.
